Meet Our Team

Mr. Manzoor

Founder & MD

Mr. Manzoor Ahmad Joo began his mountain journey in the early 1990s, inspired by the Himalayan landscapes he grew up around. He completed Para Training with the NCC and underwent specialized wilderness and emergency medical courses under renowned instructor Dr. Jim Douf, strengthening his expertise in high-altitude safety and rescue. Over the last three decades, he has led more than 1,000 trekkers across the Nepal Himalayas, Kashmir Valley, Pir Panjal, and Ladakh ranges, earning a reputation for safety, professionalism, and deep mountain knowledge. In 2007, he founded Snowman Adventures, bringing his experience together to build one of Kashmir’s most trusted adventure and trekking companies.

Hashim Ali

Operations Incharge

Hashim Ali is an engineer by profession, but an adventurer by heart—perhaps a passion inherited naturally from his father, Mr. Manzoor Ahmad Joo, whose life has been dedicated to the mountains. While adventure became his father’s profession, for Hashim it became a part of his identity and genetics. Growing up around trekking routes, snow peaks, and outdoor stories, Hashim developed a deep love for exploration. He has trekked across several alpine lakes and high-altitude trails of Kashmir, experiencing the Himalayas up close. He is also a trained skier, having completed certified skiing courses from IISM (Indian Institute of Skiing & Mountaineering) and has skied down the legendary Apharwat slopes, one of the finest ski terrains in Asia.

Faik Aijaz

High-Altitude Expedition Expert

An engineer by profession but an adventurer by passion, Faik Aijaz is a dedicated mountain athlete with an exceptional record in high-altitude exploration. He has successfully climbed and summited the formidable Kolahoi and Thajiwas peaks, along with numerous other challenging Himalayan summits. Having explored over 50 alpine lakes across Kashmir, Faik carries a deep, personal connection to the mountains. He has also completed his Basic Mountaineering Course (BMC) from JIM&WS and professional skiing courses from IISM, further strengthening his technical skills and mountain proficiency. Driven by endurance, discipline, and a relentless spirit of exploration, Faik stands as one of the most seasoned and respected mountain athletes in the region.
