Srinagar: Known for its ancient heritage, Srinagar was shaped by the Mughal emperors, who built the world-famous Mughal Gardens along the Dal Lake. Its houseboats and waterways preserve centuries of Kashmiri culture. Aharbal & Kokernag: Aharbal, called the Niagara of Kashmir, and Kokernag, known for its fresh springs, were significant rest points for travellers moving between Kashmir’s southern ranges. Pahalgam: Meaning the “Valley of Shepherds,” it has been a historic pastureland and the starting point of the sacred Amarnath Yatra. Gulmarg: Originally called Gaurimarg, this meadow served as a summer retreat for kings and later became a world-class ski destination and home to one of the highest cable cars on Earth. Gurez: A hidden Himalayan valley once part of the ancient Silk Route, guarded by the iconic Habba Khatoon Peak. Kargil & Leh: Kargil stands as a symbol of India’s bravery, while Leh preserves centuries-old Buddhist culture through monasteries, stupas, and the legacy of the Silk Route. Nubra & Pangong: Nubra’s desert landscape and Pangong’s high-altitude lake have long been considered sacred and strategically important, offering landscapes found nowhere else in the world.
